Your green smoothie

For your vegan days, I suggest this Yummilicious and energising all natural/organic drink. As I mentioned before in previous posts, I am not a big fan of fruit and vegetable but I eat them because, well, they are good, obviously. My friends Chantal and her other half are vegan and tend to go all raw from time to time for body cleansing and detoxing purposes. I learn so much about eating raw from them. So, I've started consuming more raw than before.

Apparently the best way to eat bananas is when they yellow goes darker and they start having lots of brown dots.
some benefits of bananas:

Bananas are known to be rich in Potasium and low in salt. They are full of vitamin B-6 which helps produce lots of white blood cells.
lower blood pressure and reduce the chances of getting a heart attack or a stroke.
improve you mood and reduce depression and strengthen the nervous system. They make you less stressed and more relaxed.
sustain good levels of blood sugar and protect against type II diabetes.
digestion friendly and a good body cleanser. They work well against diarrhoea ad constipation.
Being a creamy fruit, you wont have to worry about stomach irregular rates of acids and ulcers.

A quick research on the internet tells you all about the advantages of eating bananas, but here is a website that's put more and lot of benefits into a more organised structure. Foodmatters

Spinach:
I hated spinach as a kid, but I got to love them and appreciate their taste more as an adult after being introduced to international cuisines, such as,
The Shaam (Lebanon, Syria, Jordan, Palestine) spinach filled/stuffed pastries.
The Somali stew made with spinach leaves, dices potatoes and peas.
The Italian Spinach pizza and spinach lasagna
Mum's Spinach pie and quiches.

Spinach has a whole bundle of benefits. It's full of vitamins and minerals and low in calories.
"...This leafy green is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A, magnesium, folate, manganese, iron, calcium, vitamin C, vitamin B2, potassium, and vitamin B6. It’s a very good source of protein, phosphorus, vitamin E, zinc, dietary fiber, and copper. Plus, it’s a good source of selenium, niacin, and omega-3 fatty acids..." Mary Jane Moses
and much more.

For me, knowing that it's a source full of iron is enough. it sums it all up.

Coriander:

For people who suffer from high level of cholesterol and blood sugar, coriander helps lower both.
It is also a good soothing source against inflamations and soar gums.
It's goo for the nervous system, a good memory, cleans the body from heavy metals and food poisoning. It improves bowel movement and prevents digestive issues. It's excellent for healthy eyes, too.
